Antique White Oak
Reclaimed White Oak Tops
Burnished with patina and character antique reclaimed white oak develops richer, more golden hued color tones than its newly harvested counterpart. The sapwood is lighter than the heartwood, which is a light tan to golden-brown. White oak is usually straight grained, but can often be irregular or cross-grained. White Oak has been widely used throughout history as a cornerstone wood for most any application imaginable and has been the wood of choice for barrel cooperage for distilleries throughout history. Today reclaimed antique white oak is found in barns and structures throughout the Midwest and eastern United States. This prized wood is highly sought after and in high demand worldwide.
